Outpatient Programming (OP)
Valor's Outpatient Programming consists of one group session per week, which is currently held on Mondays from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm. Programming also consists of scheduled individual therapy, family therapy, and case management services when needed.
Typically, those entering outpatient substance abuse treatment have already completed a residential program and/or received treatment through an intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization treatment program.
Outpatient substance abuse treatment provides you with much-needed support while transitioning back into your everyday life. The extra encouragement and treatment provided by outpatient care plays an essential role in helping you achieve long-term sobriety and addiction recovery
Outpatient drug and alcohol addiction services are delivered by highly qualified, trauma informed Masters level therapists who are trained in substance abuse, mental health, and trauma (including EMDR). Valor partners with other community organizations to provide medical and psychiatric care to our patients needing those services.
Valor's trauma informed and evidenced based OP programming includes the Seeking Safety model curriculum and focuses on relapse prevention and maintenance skills. Therapists use interventions from Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Counter Conditioning, Distress Tolerance, Dramatic Relief, Reinforcement Management, Community Reinforcement, Expressive Arts Techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, and 12 step principles to assist in achieving your addiction treatment goals.
Our professional staff includes a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Professional Nurse, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistants (CDCA), and Executive Leadership with comprehensive clinical expertise.
Our staff members have helped hundreds of people in and around Youngstown, Warren, and the greater Mahoning Valley achieve successful and sustainable recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
